Adele tearfully scraps Las Vegas shows 24 hours before opening night

Adele has tearfully announced that she is postponing her Las Vegas residency, just 24 hours before the opening show.
She was set to perform Weekends With Adele at The Colosseum at Caeser’s Palace from 21 January, and to do two shows each weekend until 16 April, to promote her new album 30.
But on Thursday (20 January), in a tearful video posted to her Instagram, Adele told fans: “I’m so sorry, but my show ain’t ready.”
She continued: “Half my team have COVID and it’s been impossible to finish the show.
“We’ve tried absolutely everything we can to put it together in time and for it to be good enough for you.”
Adele said she had been “awake for 30 hours” trying to fix the situation in Las Vegas, but had “run out of time”.
The singer added: “It’s been impossible to finish the show. I can’t give you what I have right now and I’m gutted.”
