13 Photos Unlocking Digital Voyeurism

Author: Mauricio A. Rodriguez

Venezuelan photographer Mauricio A. Rodriguez’s work is a representation of his mind, his views on life, experiences and adventures. The images in his series “UNLOCKED” are after the art of appropriation. Living in a world of digital access and intangible personas, this work is based on social media voyeurism and the redefinition of portraiture, aka the “selfie”. We are unlocking ourselves to the world and craving the attention of digital acceptance, insta-gratification and the imaginary perfection. Rodriguez’s work is the perfect reflection of our digital times.”UNLOCKED” by Mauricio A. Rodriguez is on BOYS! BOYS! BOYS! — the online art platform for queer and gay photography from The Little Black Gallery — until April 30 at www.boysboysboys.org.
