Being gay just isn't all that I am.  It is, however, a part of who I am. Far too many people think being gay is just an issue of sex.

If being gay is a disease, let's all call in queer to work.

* actually, with respect to this quote above, I've recently been informed that it should be credited to Robin Tyler.  Robin is famous for a speech during a March on Washington for Lesbian, Gay and Bisexual rights on April 25, 1993.  The line as originally spoken was [If homosexuality is a disease, let's all call in queer to work. is a Gay/Les/Bi/Trans group at the University of Alberta in Edmonton. We host a forum every week on a different topic. Outreach is a great place to come to if your just coming out, or have been out for years. It's a chance to come and meet interesting people as well! Check us out!

AGAPE

AGAPE A Sexual Orientation and Schooling Focus Group in the Faculty of Education at the University of Alberta. Considers issues in relation to sexual orientation and schooling.

Designed to meet the needs of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender undergraduate and graduate, faculty and staff in the Faculty of Education. Straight allies are also welcome. As well, we welcome practicing teachers and other interested members of the larger community.
